About

Empowering Ukraine Through Mriya

The Mriya aircraft, officially known as the Antonov An-225 Mriya, is a one-of-a-kind cargo aircraft that holds the record for being the largest and heaviest airplane ever built. "Mriya" means "dream" or "inspiration" in Ukrainian, aptly reflecting the ambitious vision behind its creation.

When Russia started the full-scale invasion on Ukraine on February 24, 2022, the Russian troops have seized control of Hostomel Air Base, where the AN-225 “Mriya” was located and destroyed it when retreating from the Kyiv region.

Mriya Fund works with preserving the memory of the famous Ukrainian Mriya aircraft, destroyed by Russia and raises international funds to support Ukraine against the Russian aggression.

What we do

Empowering the Ukrainian Society  Through Volunteering

International cooperation

Our organization fosters partnerships and collaborations with other NGOs, governments, and international bodies to coordinate efforts in supporting Ukraine and advocating for peace and justice in the region. This could involve participating in conferences, workshops, and diplomatic initiatives.

Educational initiatives

The Mriya Fund develops educational materials and programs to inform people about the history of the Mriya aircraft, the war in Ukraine, and the broader geopolitical implications. This could include curriculum development for schools, online resources, and public lectures.

Preservation of memory

Fund organizes events, exhibitions, and educational programs to commemorate the legacy of the Mriya aircraft. This include displaying artifacts, photographs, and stories related to the aircraft's history and significance in Ukrainian aviation.

Memorialization projects

We are also involved in projects to physically memorialize the Mriya aircraft and the victims of the Russian aggression, such as erecting monuments, creating memorial gardens, or naming public spaces in honor of the aircraft and its crew.

Fundraising

Mriya Fund raises international funds to support Ukraine against Russian aggression. We organize charity events, online fundraisers, and collaborate with other organizations to maximize their impact.

Advocacy and Awareness

Our NGO engages in advocacy efforts to raise awareness about the destruction of the Mriya aircraft by Russia and the broader issues surrounding Russian aggression in Ukraine. This involve lobbying governments, organizing campaigns, and leveraging media and social media platforms to amplify their message.

Legal advocacy

The Mriya Fund also get engaged in legal advocacy efforts, seeking justice for the destruction of the Mriya aircraft through international courts or by pressing for sanctions against individuals or entities responsible for the attack.

Overall, the Mriya Fund appears to be engaged in a multifaceted approach aimed at preserving the memory of the Mriya aircraft while actively supporting Ukraine's resilience against Russian aggression on both symbolic and practical levels.
